Eligibility: SBI Resolver Recruitment 2026

Educational Qualification: Since applicants are retired officers of SBI, no specific educational qualifications are required.

Experience: Preference will be given to ex-officers having sufficient work experience, deep knowledge of SBI’s systems and procedures, and overall professional competence in the relevant area.

Eligibility Criteria (as on 31.03.2026):

  • The retired officer must have served in MMGS-II, MMGS-III, or SMGS-IV grade with an unblemished service record.
  • The officer must have retired only upon attaining superannuation at the age of 60 years. Officers who voluntarily retired, resigned, were suspended, or left the Bank before superannuation are not eligible. However, officers who completed 58 years of age and 30 years of service/pensionable service (both conditions must be satisfied) as on the date of applying for voluntary retirement as per e-Circular Nos. CDO/P&HRD-PM/58/2015-16 dated 07.10.2015 & CDO/P&HRD-PM/12/2017-18 dated 05.05.2017 shall be eligible upon attaining 60 years.
  • The officer must have a good track record of performance and deep knowledge of Bank’s systems and procedures.
  • The retired officer should maintain good health and must not be suffering from any major ailment.
  • Integrity of the officer must not be doubtful during previous tenure.
  • No punishment or penalty (Censure or higher) should have been inflicted during the five years of service preceding retirement.
  • No cases of CBI or other law enforcement agencies should be pending.
  • Maximum age as on 31.03.2026 should not be more than 63 years (engagement is up to a maximum age of 65 years).
  • The retired officer must not accept any assignment with any other organisation during the contractual period.
  • The engagement shall not be treated as extension in service for pension or other superannuation benefit purposes.
  • OBC candidates in the ‘creamy layer’ must apply under the General/Unreserved category.
  • EWS benefit requires an Income & Asset Certificate based on gross annual income for FY 2025–26 as per DoPT guidelines.

Maximum Age: 63 years as on 31.03.2026 (engagement up to a maximum age of 65 years, subject to satisfactory performance and quarterly review).

Age Relaxation: No relaxation in upper age limit is available to any reserved category candidates. The maximum age indicated is for General/Unreserved category candidates.


Pay Scale: SBI Resolver Recruitment 2026

The remuneration will be paid at monthly intervals as follows:

  • The above remuneration is without prejudice to the pension being drawn by the officer.
  • No house/furniture, Provident Fund, pension fund, gratuity, or other perquisites/benefits will be provided during the contract period.
  • Income tax/TDS will be deducted at source as per prevailing IT rules.
  • The retired officers shall not be eligible for reimbursement of medical or any other benefits during engagement. However, they will continue to avail facilities as pensioners of the Bank.
  • Leave entitlement: 30 days per year of engagement (pro-rata for periods less than or over one year). Intervening Sundays/holidays are not included in leave computation. Unutilised leave will normally lapse; however, if leave is declined on administrative grounds, it may be encashed at the rate of monetary compensation package component.

Selection Process & Exam Pattern: SBI Resolver Recruitment 2026

Mode of Selection: Shortlisting followed by Interview.

Shortlisting: Merely fulfilling minimum eligibility criteria does not confer any right to be called for interview. The Shortlisting Committee constituted by the Bank will decide shortlisting parameters. An adequate number of candidates as decided by the Bank will be shortlisted. The Bank’s decision shall be final; no correspondence will be entertained.

Interview: The interview carries 100 marks. Qualifying marks will be decided by the Bank. No TA/DA will be paid to candidates appearing for the interview.

Merit List: Final merit list will be prepared in descending order of interview scores, subject to the candidate scoring minimum qualifying marks. In case of a tie at the cut-off score, candidates will be ranked in descending order of age.

Circle-wise & Category-wise Merit: Merit list will be drawn circle-wise and category-wise. Selected candidates will be posted in the preferred circle for which they applied, and will not be entitled to inter-circle transfer.
