Essential Qualifications:
(a) Mining Sirdar in Technical & Supervisory Grade-C
I. Matriculate or equivalent examination from any recognised Board of Examination. OR Diploma in Mining Engineering of 03 years duration or Degree in Mining Engineering or other equivalent qualifications approved by the Central Government from any recognised Institute.
II. Valid Mining Sirdarship Certificate of Competency (Un-Restricted) from DGMS under Coal Mines Regulation 2017, valid for working in both Open Cast (OC) and Underground (UG) Mines, or any other Certificate of Competency in Mining which entitles the applicant to work as Mining Sirdar as per Coal Mines Regulation 2017 for working in both OC and UG Mines.
III. Valid Gas Testing Certificate.
IV. Valid First Aid Certificate.
(b) Dy. Surveyor in Technical & Supervisory Grade-C (Mining)
I. Matriculate or equivalent examination from any recognised Board of Examination. OR Degree or Diploma in Mining / Mine Surveying Engineering from any recognised Institute.
II. Surveyors’ Certificate of Competency (SCC) (Un-Restricted) granted under CMR 2017, or any other certificate in Mining which entitles the applicant to work as Surveyor in mines as per Coal Mines Regulation 2017.
(c) Assistant Foreman (Electrical) Technical & Supervisory Grade-C
I. Matriculate or equivalent examination from any recognised Board of Examination.
II. Diploma or relevant and higher qualification (Minimum 3 years course) in Electrical Engineering from any Institute recognised by the Government.
Special Notes on Qualifications:
The cut-off date for determining eligibility of all candidates including age limit, valid Gas Testing Certificate and First Aid Certificate is 08.04.2026. Minimum qualifications acquired through distance learning or part-time modes shall not be considered.

Pay Scale: SECL Recruitment 2026
Basic Pay: Rs. 47330.25/- per month for all three posts (T&S Grade-C).

Selection Process: SECL Recruitment 2026
Mode of Selection: Computer Based Test (CBT) only. Personal Interview has been discontinued as per the circular issued by Coal India Limited.
Exam Pattern:
The CBT will consist of 100 objective type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) divided into two sections:

Each question carries 1 mark. There is no negative marking for wrong answers. No marks are awarded for un-attempted questions.
Tie-Breaking Criteria: In case of equal marks, merit will be decided by: Date of Birth (descending order of age) → Seniority as per date of issue of Statutory Certificate → Alphabetical order of name → Selection Committee decision.
The final merit panel will be prepared solely on the basis of marks obtained in the CBT.
Answer Key: CBT results will be published on the SECL official website after successful completion of the exam.
Health / Medical Fitness
Appointment will be provisional, subject to the candidate being found medically fit as per the standards prescribed by the Company. Selected candidates will have to undergo medical examination in the designated hospital by the Company’s Doctor. The final appointment/joining will be subject to being declared medically fit for employment in Mines as per extant rules.
As per the Company’s Medical Attendance Rules (MAR), the minimum required height for candidates is 60 inches (this is not applicable in the case of Dw-Dwarfism for the post of Assistant Foreman Electrical).
