UPSSSC Excise Constable Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification (Mandatory): Candidates must have passed the Intermediate examination from the UP Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad or an equivalent examination recognized by the State Government as per Rule-8 of Chapter-4 of the Uttar Pradesh Excise Constable, Driver and Tadi Inspector Service Rules, 1983 (as amended).

Desirable Qualification: As per Rule-9 of Chapter-4 of the said Service Rules, preference shall be given to candidates who have either served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or have obtained the ‘B’ certificate of the National Cadet Corps (NCC).

PET Requirement: Only those candidates who appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test-2025 (PET-2025) and have been issued a score card by UPSSSC are eligible to apply. UPSSSC Excise Constable Recruitment 2026 – Physical Standards

For Male Candidates: Chest (without expansion): Minimum 80 cm Chest (with expansion): Minimum 85 cm Height: Minimum 167.6 cm

For Female Candidates: Weight: Minimum 45 kg Height (General category): Minimum 152 cm Height (SC/ST category): Minimum 147 cm

Physical Efficiency Test: Male candidates must complete a run of 4.8 km in 25 minutes. Female candidates must complete a run of 2.4 km in 14 minutes. Candidates who do not complete the run within the stipulated time will be disqualified.

Note: Physical measurement and physical efficiency tests are qualifying in nature. Selection will be based on the Written (Main) Examination only.

Step 2: Log in using your PET-2025 Registration Number through the OTP sent to your registered mobile number or email ID.

UPSSSC Excise Constable Recruitment 2026 – Important Instructions

  • Candidates must be bonafide residents of Uttar Pradesh to avail category-based reservations. Non-UP domicile candidates will be treated as general/unreserved category.
  • EWS candidates must possess an EWS certificate issued between 01-04-2026 and 24-06-2026, based on income of financial year 2025-26 and valid for financial year 2026-27.
  • For age proof, only the date of birth as mentioned on the High School/equivalent certificate will be accepted. No other document will be valid for this purpose.
  • Ex-Servicemen who have been discharged from service by the last date of application i.e. 24-06-2026 are eligible for reservation benefits under applicable rules.
  • For women candidates of Uttar Pradesh, only the caste certificate issued from the father’s side will be accepted.
  • Candidates in service under Central or State Government must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer before participating in the selection process.
  • In-service UP Government employees will be granted an additional age relaxation of 5 years as per applicable government orders.
  • In case of multiple applications, only the last submitted application will be accepted. All previous applications will stand cancelled.
  • Application form correction is permitted up to 01-07-2026 for permissible fields only. No correction will be possible after this date.
  • Providing false or incorrect information in the application form may lead to cancellation of candidature and debarment from future UPSSSC examinations.
  • Candidates must download and print their application form after successful fee payment and reconciliation. Printout cannot be taken after the last date.
