UPSSSC Excise Constable Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualification (Mandatory): Candidates must have passed the Intermediate examination from the UP Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad or an equivalent examination recognized by the State Government as per Rule-8 of Chapter-4 of the Uttar Pradesh Excise Constable, Driver and Tadi Inspector Service Rules, 1983 (as amended).
Desirable Qualification: As per Rule-9 of Chapter-4 of the said Service Rules, preference shall be given to candidates who have either served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or have obtained the ‘B’ certificate of the National Cadet Corps (NCC).

UPSSSC Excise Constable Recruitment 2026 – Physical Standards

UPSSSC Excise Constable Recruitment 2026 – Important Instructions
- Candidates must be bonafide residents of Uttar Pradesh to avail category-based reservations. Non-UP domicile candidates will be treated as general/unreserved category.
- EWS candidates must possess an EWS certificate issued between 01-04-2026 and 24-06-2026, based on income of financial year 2025-26 and valid for financial year 2026-27.
- For age proof, only the date of birth as mentioned on the High School/equivalent certificate will be accepted. No other document will be valid for this purpose.
- Ex-Servicemen who have been discharged from service by the last date of application i.e. 24-06-2026 are eligible for reservation benefits under applicable rules.
- For women candidates of Uttar Pradesh, only the caste certificate issued from the father’s side will be accepted.
- Candidates in service under Central or State Government must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer before participating in the selection process.
