UPPSC Medical Officer Recruitment 2026 – 2,100+ Vacancies | Group-B Gazetted Posts | Salary up to Rs. 1,77,500/- | Apply Online

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has released Advertisement No. D-6/E-1/2025 dated 22 December 2025 for recruitment to Medical Officer and allied medical posts under various departments of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. This large recruitment drive aims to fill 2,100+ Group-B Gazetted vacancies including Medical Officer (Ayurvedic / Unani / Homoeopathic / Community Health), Dental Surgeon, Veterinary Officer, Drug Inspector and other medical positions. The recruitment is open to eligible medical graduates with registration under the respective statutory councils. The selected candidates will be appointed on regular basis with pay scales as per the 7th Pay Commission, with maximum salary going up to Rs. 1,77,500/- per month. 🎓 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality
Candidate must be a citizen of India.

Educational Qualification (Post-wise)

  • Medical Officer (Ayurvedic):
    Degree in Ayurveda from a recognised university and registration with UP Board of Indian Medicine
  • Medical Officer (Unani):
    Degree/Diploma in Unani Tib and registration with UP Board of Indian Medicine
  • Medical Officer (Homoeopathic):
    Degree/Diploma in Homoeopathy and registration with UP Homoeopathic Board
  • Medical Officer (Community Health):
    Relevant medical qualification as prescribed by UPPSC
  • Dental Surgeon:
    BDS degree from a recognised university and registration with Dental Council of India
  • Veterinary Officer:
    B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree and registration with UP Veterinary Council
  • Drug Inspector:
    Degree in Pharmacy / Pharmaceutical Sciences / Medicine with prescribed experience

💰 Salary Structure

In addition to basic pay, candidates are entitled to DA, HRA, Medical Allowance and other admissible benefits.


🧠 Selection Process

The selection process consists of the following stages:

  1. Screening Examination (Objective Type)
    Conducted if the number of applications is large. Negative marking applicable.
  2. Interview
    Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.
  3. Final Merit List
    Prepared by giving 75% weightage to screening exam and 25% weightage to interview.
  4. Document Verification & Medical Fitness

Minimum qualifying marks are 40% for General/OBC and 35% for SC/ST candidates in the screening test.
