Eligibility for MPESB Nursing Officer Recruitment 2026
Educational Qualification – Nursing Officer (Post Code 01 to 11):
- The candidate must have passed Class 12 (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) subjects.
- Must have passed 4-year B.Sc. Nursing from an institution recognized by MP Nurses Registration Council / Indian Nursing Council, OR completed General Nursing Training followed by 2-year Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, with a minimum of 45% marks. SC/ST/OBC candidates get a relaxation of 5% marks.
- Must have a valid (live) registration with the Madhya Pradesh Nurses Registration Council (MPNRC).
Educational Qualification – Sister Tutor (Post Code 12):
- The candidate must have passed Class 12 (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) subjects.
- Must have passed B.Sc. Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience after B.Sc. Nursing / P.B.B.Sc. Nursing is mandatory.
- Must have a valid (live) registration with the Madhya Pradesh Nurses Registration Council (MPNRC).
Other Mandatory Conditions:
- After selection, candidates must execute a bond of Rs. 5.00 lakh for a minimum service period of 5 years under the Department of Public Health & Medical Education, MP.
- Live registration at the MP State Employment Exchange is mandatory for all candidates.
- Nationality: Indian citizen or Nepali citizen (with required certificate as per MP Civil Service Recruitment Rules 1961).

How to Apply
- Visit the official MP Online website: www.mponline.gov.in
- Go to Citizen Services > Application > ESB link and open the Online Application Form for this recruitment.
- Read the notification and rules carefully, then click “Continue.”
- Fill in all required details accurately: name, date of birth, category, educational qualifications, Aadhaar number, identity proof details, and post preferences with priority order.
- Scan and upload in JPG format: recent colour passport size photograph (white background, both ears visible, not older than 3 months from date of application), signature, and two lines of self-handwriting.
- Upload all required documents: date of birth proof (Class 8/10/12 marksheet), caste/category certificate (if applicable), disability certificate (if applicable), guest teacher certificate (if applicable), NCC or other bonus certificates (if applicable).
- Mark preferences and priority order for all eligible posts. Failure to mark priority for any eligible post will result in exclusion from that post’s result even if marks are sufficient.
- Review the entire form carefully before submitting.
- Pay the exam fee via Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking or through an authorised MP Online Kiosk (cash payment).
- Print and safely keep the computerised payment receipt.
- Note down and safely preserve your Application Form Number – it is required to download the admit card later.
Via Kiosk: Visit the nearest authorised MP Online Kiosk with all documents and photograph. The Kiosk operator will fill and submit your form after you verify the details and pay cash.
For Baiga, Sahariya & Bhariya Tribal Candidates: Do not apply online to the Board. Send a hardcopy application directly to the Directorate of Public Health & Medical Education, J.P. Hospital Campus, Bhopal with all required documents before 20 April 2026. Applications sent to the Board will be treated as invalid.
Important Instructions
- Aadhaar registration is mandatory. Only UIDAI-verified e-Aadhaar will be accepted.
- Original photo identity proof (Voter ID / PAN Card / Aadhaar Card / Driving Licence / Passport – any one original) is compulsory at the exam centre. Printout of e-Aadhaar is not valid unless verified by UIDAI.
- Multi-level Biometric verification is mandatory at the exam centre. Candidates whose biometrics do not match will not be allowed to appear.
- Electronic devices including mobile phones, calculators, scientific calculators, Bluetooth devices, digital watches, log tables, and any loose paper slips are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.
- Candidates who arrive after the reporting deadline will not be allowed entry into the exam centre under any circumstance.
- No candidate will be permitted to leave the exam hall from the start of the exam until its completion.
- Eligibility of all candidates is entirely provisional at the application stage. The Board does not verify documents during application. Candidates must ensure they meet all prescribed criteria before applying.
- Providing false or incorrect information at any stage will result in cancellation of candidature.
- Submitting more than one application will result in cancellation of all applications.
- Objections to questions in the question paper must be submitted online only within 3 days of the answer key publication link going live. A fee of Rs. 150/- per question/answer is applicable. Physical objections sent to the Board will not be considered.
- There is no provision for re-evaluation or re-totalling of marks after result declaration.
- Appointment orders will be issued within 3 months from the date of merit list publication.
- A waiting list of 15% of the selected candidates will be prepared, valid for one year or until a new exam result is declared, whichever is earlier.
- Candidates who have more than 2 living children, with at least one born on or after 26 January 2001, are not eligible for appointment.
- After selection, a bond of Rs. 5.00 lakh must be executed for a minimum service of 5 years under the department before joining.
- Any legal dispute relating to this recruitment will fall under the jurisdiction of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
- Travel Allowance: MP domicile SC/ST/OBC and PwD candidates attending the exam are eligible for reimbursement of travel expenses from the concerned department. Submit bank account details using Proforma-1 along with caste/disability certificate to the department.
FAQ – MPESB Nursing Officer Recruitment 2026
Q. Who is eligible to apply for this recruitment? A. Candidates who have passed B.Sc. Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC) and hold a valid live registration with the MP Nurses Registration Council. Nursing Officer posts are open only to female candidates. Sister Tutor posts are open to both male and female candidates.
Q. Can candidates from other states apply? A. Yes, but they can apply only for Unreserved (Open) category posts. They will not receive any reservation benefit or age relaxation.
Q. Is there negative marking in the exam? A. Yes. 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
Q. How will the admit card be obtained? A. Download the admit card from www.esb.mp.gov.in using your Application Form Number and password. Admit cards will not be sent by post.
Q. Can I correct mistakes in my application after submission? A. Yes, corrections can be made between 06 April 2026 and 25 April 2026 through the MP Online website or Kiosk. A fee of Rs. 20/- (exam) + Rs. 40/- (portal charge) is payable for each correction attempt.
Q. Is there an interview round? A. No. Selection is based entirely on the Online CBT score.
Q. Why is OBC reservation shown as provisional? A. OBC reservation of 27% is subject to the Hon. Court’s order. Until the final judgment, 87% of posts follow the 14% OBC reservation table and the remaining 13% posts are kept provisional/notional.
