Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India.

Selection Process & Exam Pattern
The Band recruitment process is conducted in three stages:
Stage 1 – Skill Test (First Round)
- Candidates will be tested on one instrument of their choice from List “A” (mandatory instruments).
- List “A” includes: Piccolo, Concert Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, French Horn, Trumpet, Cornet, Trombone, Bassoon, Euphonium, Bass Tuba, Bag Pipe, Tenor Drum, Bugle, Side Drum, Bass Drum.
- No marks are awarded in the Skill Test; it is qualifying in nature only.
- Qualifying the Skill Test makes the candidate eligible for Stage 2.

Stage 3 – Interview (Third Round)
- Total marks: 25
- Based on trade knowledge, NCC, sports, personality, expression, communication, and general knowledge.
- Interview venue and date will be communicated via email, SMS, and WhatsApp through the MP Online portal.
- Final merit is prepared on the basis of Band Playing Test marks + Interview marks.

- A waiting list of 15% of advertised posts will be prepared and shall remain valid for 1 year or until a new examination result is declared (whichever is earlier).
