Eligibility:

Essential Qualifications:

The minimum qualification requirement varies by research project. The general requirements are as follows:

For Most Projects (Project Nos. 1–20, 22–25): PhD in the relevant discipline as specified against each project (Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Biosciences, Agriculture, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Botany, Zoology, Soil Science, Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, Food Technology, etc.).

For Project No. 21 (Muon Tomography): B.Tech / B.E. / M.Tech / M.E. in Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunication / Electronics & Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Information Technology is accepted. One year of relevant experience is preferable.

Important Note: Candidates who have submitted their PhD thesis and are awaiting evaluation are NOT eligible. Only candidates with a Provisional or Regular PhD degree will be considered.

Desirable Qualifications (Selected Projects):

  • Project 1: Experience in Li-ion batteries and/or broadband spectroscopy. Mathematics at undergraduate level is compulsory.
  • Project 4: Experience in electrochemistry preferred.
  • Project 5: Experience in thermophysical property evaluation preferred.
  • Project 6: Focus on materials science, oxidation processes, or corrosion.
  • Project 8: Strong background in materials science, surface engineering, or thermal spray technologies preferred.
  • Project 9: PhD in Physics in plasma / electromagnetic design / CFD / materials science.
  • Project 10: Experience in RF & electromagnetics with programming knowledge preferred.
  • Project 11: Experience in laser spectroscopy preferred.
  • Project 23 (4th RA): Experience in phage display or ribosomal display techniques and animal experimentation desired.
