🎓 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Forester
- Passed 10+2 / Intermediate from a recognised board
- Forest Guard
- Passed High School Certificate (HSC / Class 10)
- Excise Constable
- Passed High School Certificate (HSC / Class 10)
Candidates must be able to read, write and speak Odia and must have:
- Passed Odia as a subject in Class VII or above
- OR passed Odia language test conducted by the Government of Odisha
Age Limit (as on 01 January 2025)
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 32 years

🧠 Selection Process
The recruitment process consists of the following stages:
Stage-I: Written Examination
- Objective type questions

- Total Marks: 100
- Duration: 1½ hours
- Subjects:
- Mathematics – 20 marks
- General Studies – 20 marks
- English – 20 marks
- Odia – 15 marks
- Computer – 15 marks
- Logical Reasoning – 10 marks
- Negative Marking: 0.25 mark for each wrong answer
Stage-II: Physical Standard Measurement (PSM)
For Forester / Forest Guard

- Height: 168 cm (UR/SC), 158 cm (ST)
- Chest: 79–84 cm
- Female
- Height: 153 cm (UR/SC), 150 cm (ST)
For Excise Constable
- Height, weight and chest standards as prescribed in notification
Stage-III: Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Forester / Forest Guard
- Male: 25 km walk in 4 hours
- Female: 16 km walk in 4 hours
Excise Constable
- Running, long jump, and other events as notified
Stage-IV: Document Verification & Medical Examination
- Verification of original certificates
- Medical fitness as per departmental norms
Final merit list is prepared based on Written Examination performance, subject to qualifying PET/PSM and medical fitness.
